This course is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of photography, starting with the basics of digital cameras and cell phone cameras and how they function.
Our class will cover the principles of composition, including lighting, framing, and perspective. In addition, we'll explore the power of Adobe Lightroom, a tool that is essential for photographers who want to bring their work to the next level.
Our instructor, Adam, is passionate about photography and will provide you with guidance, feedback, and support to help you succeed in this exciting field.

Jennifer Behymer
Jennifer graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's degree in Educational and Counseling Psychology, but has primarily worked in art related positions including: teaching art, painting murals, designing and painting theatre backdrops and sets, starting and directing an art gallery, and participating in art fairs.
From 2010-2015, Jennifer taught Art K-12 at a school in Missouri specialized in working with children with behavioral disorders.
After moving to Massachusetts in 2015, Jennifer made the decision to pursue classical art training in both drawing and painting at the New England School of Fine Art with instructor Jo Ellen Reinhardt. She also mentored under ARC Living Master Tina Garrett.
Jennifer is a member of the Portrait Society of America.

Ed Turner
Ed Turner is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, class of 1990.
He has been a professional illustrator since graduating RISD. He has freelanced for Warner Bros, Houghton Mifflin, Horse + Rider Magazine, Bagdon Advertisers, NEADS World Class Service Dogs, Paul Mitchell, and the US Dressage Foundation.
Ed is the founder of Art Lessons on the Rotary and owner of the Art and Frame Emporium, both in Westborough. His art is displayed at the Art and Frame Emporium today. Come by the store to see more!

Beginning watercolor class for all ages. An introductory class in watercolor fundamentals and techniques. Classes are held live online via Zoom. Watercolor kits with all the essentials are available for beginner classes.

Your instructor, Ed Turner, is a RISD professional painter who shows how to enjoy the basics of watercolor painting. The set covers secrets and techniques, materials, and basic how-to paint with watercolors. Utilize wet-on-wet, salt, and masking material to master your own paintings. Melissa Pandina
Melissa graduated from MassArt with a degree in Illustration in 2003 and continued her education in the second cohort of the Community Mural Institute. Since then, I have sold paintings internationally and domestically. She has worked with several publishers to contribute to calendars, magazines, and album covers. She has also created many pieces for public works projects. The largest has been the 5-story Adrian Ford mural in Fitchburg, MA and the 2600-square-foot Gerena Mural in Springfield Ma. Recently she was awarded first prize in the Northampton Chalk Fest and Boston’s Arts Council's 19th amendment Poster contest. She has also had pieces shown in the Berkshire Museum, and the Fitchburg Museum.

Acrylics are an easy and versatile medium. You can create paintings similar to the old Masters’ oils or watercolors. You can even embrace a more modern aesthetic by adding more sculptural elements or by using special effects medium. In the first class, you will experiment with brush vs palette knife paintings. This class will focus on color blocking and creating several quick, painterly paintings. In the following classes, you will put to use what you learned to create 3-6 finished paintings of different. All levels are welcome but the class is geared toward beginners. Materials NOT included

Explore oil painting with no fear. We will be walking through a step-by-step process to create successful paintings each time. Starting with underpaintings and ending in glazing. In the first class, you will experiment with brush vs palette knife paintings. We will explore different techniques to get to your desired style. In the following classes, you will put to use what you learned to create 1 or 2 finished paintings. Best of all, we will be using low-odor products. All levels are welcome but the class is geared toward beginners.
