Custom Matting

We are matting experts here at the Art and Frame Emporium. Quality and expertise set us apart from other frame shops.

Matting is a border that surrounds artwork. Typically, it is made from matboard, a type of board manufactured specifically for this purpose. Our matboard is hand-cut to size. The mat provides vital practical functions, and it has a visual purpose as well.

Come choose from thousands of acid-free, lignin-free fabric and paper mat colors, textures, thicknesses, and designs.

Shadow Boxes

Shadow boxes are a deep, rectangular frame fronted with a glass panel, used to show and at the same time protect items on display, as paintings, coins, or jewelry.

We custom-make all our shadowbox frames just for you. Our shadowboxes are quite versatile and 100% custom. Our customers tend to display sports memorabilia, medals, textiles, or 3D objects.

Custom Stretch Canvas

In case you were wondering, stretched canvas is a canvas print or blank canvas that has been stretched over a wooden frame and is ready to hang straight on the wall. Our canvas is tightly stapled behind the frame and covered in a tightening agent to give it a better fit.

We are staffed only by artists so when you bring a canvas to stretch we treat it as if it were our own work.
